University Hospital, Aintree
About the client
Anne Coleman is the Catering Services Manager at the University Hospital in Aintree. It is a very busy hospital with thousands of meals being prepared and served around the clock and as with any hospital kitchen, hygiene is of paramount importance because the recuperation of patients is at risk.
"Cleaning is a very important factor - it is a critical control point – and previously we had no way of assessing our cleaning standards ourselves.
“As HACCP is at the forefront of our minds we chose In House to advise us on our cleaning procedures. Initially we were quite sceptical about the benefits but as we can see the results on the machine screen instantly, the catering staff know when they have got it right and also when something has not been cleaned satisfactorily! We now know that the things that look clean, actually are clean!"
About In House and the client
In House visits the University Hospital's kitchens four times a year to check the cleaning, talk through any problems with the staff and try to find solutions to any problems that might present themselves. Anne receives a copy of the BIOSCANNING report at the end of each visit and is able to ensure that any recommendations made are followed up, by her staff, without delay. |
