CIEH Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering
About the course
This is a higher level 4 CIEH course which looks at the management of food hygiene in a business. Subject matter is covered in depth, in addition to management techniques to help you operate your business in a food safe manner.
Who is the course for?
Managers, head chefs - anyone who is responsible for food safety in a catering operation.
How long does it take?
The course is run over 5 full days, usually over 5 weeks. There is also a half-day revision/mock exam day, and a 2 ½ hour exam. Candidates must also submit 2 assignments (approx. 1500 words) before sitting the exam. Pass mark is 60% (credit pass 80%)
Courses are currently held at High Wycombe, Bucks (30 miles west of London) and Leicester Square, central London.
Any other information?
A copy of the book - Managing Food Safety - is provided on the course, in addition to all the course notes. If candidates also obtain a suitable training qualification, having the Level 4 Award enables them to train others in the Level 2 award in Food Safety.
